The new "J" Series R32 Amana PTAC has been redesigned, introducing integrated Bluetooth and RF connectivity along with the latest Amana brand mobile app. This re-imagined design eliminates the user-operated control pad, offering a modern and streamlined appearance and operation. However, it now requires a wired or wireless wall thermostat for full functionality.

The integrated Bluetooth and RF connectivity reduces unit setting and configuration time, allowing users to access advanced features, including troubleshooting and diagnostics, through the wired/wireless thermostat or the Amana mobile app. This enhanced connectivity provides a more convenient and efficient user experience.

Improved design and materials have been incorporated to reduce operating noise and minimize the transmission of exterior and internal sounds into the room, creating a more pleasant and quieter environment for occupants. The units now achieve a Sound Transmission Class (STC) rating of 29, making them quieter than previous models.

Moreover, the new design features a modern Quiet White color, complementing the streamlined appearance. Designed and assembled in the U.S.A. for over 45 years, the new Amana PTAC can now achieve an Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) value of up to 14.0, improving energy efficiency.

New installations of the Amana PTAC require a sleeve and a rear grille, which are not included with the purchase. The unit is designed to fit a standard PTAC Sleeve Size (WxHxD): 42" x 16 1/16" x 14 1/8" and can cool and heat an application area up to 350 sq. ft.

The purchase of the Amana PTAC includes the Amana DSA02NO Wireless Thermostat, which allows users to control the unit from anywhere in the room. This added feature provides enhanced flexibility and convenience for the end-user.
